Spacious TSA-friendly travel backpack that’s practical, durable, and easy to carry

I’ve been using this backpack for travel and work, and it’s honestly more functional than I expected at this price point. The 32L capacity is a good sweet spot—it fits a laptop, chargers, clothes for a short trip, and other essentials without feeling overstuffed or bulky.

The TSA-friendly layout is the most useful feature if you travel by air. Being able to open it flat at security saves time and makes the whole process less annoying. The laptop compartment feels padded enough for normal protection, and it keeps everything organized instead of everything floating in one big pocket.

Material-wise, it feels durable and water-resistant enough for light rain or daily commuting. The zippers run smoothly, and the straps are comfortable even when the bag is fully loaded. It also holds its shape well instead of collapsing when partially empty.

Overall, it’s a solid all-purpose backpack for travel, school, or work. Not overly flashy, but practical and reliable for everyday use.

Comes in super handy when taking my laptop on the go. It has a nice, well padded compartment that holds the laptop snuggly and so much room for cables, mouse, whatever you need to take with you. Looks great as well.

The best backpack for work and short trips

I was in need of a backpack/rucksack combo for some upcoming travel I had and also to double as a work bag for the day. I have delayed my review to ensure I had at least 3 longer trips of at least 2 days and a month of work travel under my belt. This review, will be long; I can't say enough positive things about this pack, it exceeded all of my expectations, it's the best bag I have owned. This has replaced my old name-brand backpack that was twice the price.

There are so many pockets and compartments in this backpack, I will do my best to describe them in detail below and the purpose I have used for each one. The best part about it being that even when packed with 2 days of clothes, a laptop, extra screen, mouse, all accessories, the back stays rather slim. Slim enough to fit under the seat in an airplane, you can see in the last two images the fully loaded bag.

The largest compartment for the rucksack has a second zipper and keeps all of your clothes and other belongings secure. This area is perfect for around 2-3 days of clothes, toiletries and other items that are required when traveling. I have been able to take 2 days of clothes and still have room for noise cancelling headphones for the plane ride.

Opposite of this large compartment there is an interior zipped pocket that works well for smaller items that you'd like to keep in place. I have used this pocket for random small items like floss or jewelry. On the outside of this same area is a another zipped pocket for glasses, this fits all of the glasses cases that I own.

The compartment for the laptop in the back fits either my 14" or 15" laptops with room to spare. The magnetic closure is nice to keep the computer in place while in transit. I am also able to fit my extended 15" screen in the same compartment.

The two compartments on the side of the bag are also roomy and perfect for carrying items with the need for quick access. In each, there are 2 smaller segmented areas separated by fabric pouches. These side pockets I have used them for keeping a mouse, USB cords, chargers for phones/laptops, pens, laser pointer, batteries, medicine, etc. Even with all of these items, there is still room to spare. On the outside of these, there area open area pockets perfect for water bottles.

The outermost compartment on the front provides some additional storage that expands a bit as required, I have used this for a small travel umbrella or poncho.

Excellent Backpack for Travel, Work, and Everyday Gear

This backpack honestly exceeded my expectations. The material feels high quality and durable, and the overall design feels very well thought out. It looks professional enough for work and business travel, while still being versatile for everyday use.

One of my favorite things is the amount of pockets and compartments. There is space for everything and it helps keep gear organized instead of everything being thrown together in one section. The laptop compartment feels secure and the TSA-friendly opening is very convenient and easy to use during travel.

It is also a really good size with plenty of storage capacity without feeling overly bulky. I can fit my laptop, accessories, clothes, tech gear, and other essentials comfortably. I also use this backpack when carrying gear for product photography and content creation, and it works amazingly for that too.

The backpack is comfortable to wear even when loaded up, and the travel-friendly design makes it great for flights, commuting, work, or weekend trips. Overall, this is an awesome backpack with great storage, lots of functionality, and very good quality. Definitely a versatile and reliable travel and everyday bag.

The size can be deceiving. This backpack has plenty of space for both clothing, laptops, and accessories. There are straps to keep things in a tight space, but if more space is needed, the straps can be loosened making the bag larger than it look. It's great for 2 day travel, especially if needing to travel light. There are plenty of pockets and spaces within the bag.

The Stress-Free Daily Haul

I switched to the 16" Protective Laptop Backpack for my daily commute because my old rucksack was so bulky I kept bumping into people. My first impression was how the slim, structured design holds its shape even when it's mostly empty, avoiding that "floppy" look that some casual bags have. The high-density polyester has a nice matte finish that feels durable enough to survive being tossed under a desk or squeezed into a crowded bus without picking up scuffs or tears.

Heavy Backpack

This is a super nice backpack. The materials used are thick, strong and very durable. It is quite heavy. I really like that it has a padded area for my laptop. I really like how it unzips and lays flat. There are lots of different pockets to keep everything I need. All the zippers work smoothly and stay shut where I put them. The zippers are higher quality. The straps are wide and comfortable to wear. Everything is attached very well. The stitching is done very nice. This does look like a very expensive bag. There is a lot of room inside. There's also pockets on the outside to keep water bottle. This would make a great gift to give someone. The price value for the product quality is really good.

Very solid travel backpack for those than need space.

I am a frequent traveler spending about 20 weeks out of the year on the road. My normal loadout is a laptop, a tablet, an extra battery brick, my cpap, a ditty bag, my meds, and an assortment of chargers. On top of that, I normally travel with my owala bottle, a few snacks, headphones, and a travel pillow. All together, it is a fair load. I have about 10 backpacks of different sizes and types. My struggle is that the best ones for actual travel and load carrying either have a distinct "outdoor" or "military" look. This one has a great look and color and is far more subtle than my bags with molle straps all over them. It is super versatile, I can pack for an overnight with nothing else, with a carry on for a two or three day trip, or with my suitcase if I'm out for a week or more. So far, it has been very high quality. The straps and padding have held up well without fraying, I hope to get many years out of it.

After using the Tolaccea 32L Travel Laptop Backpack for two months on work trips, weekend getaways, and daily commutes, it has quickly become my favorite bag. The build quality is excellent thick, durable materials, smooth zippers, clean stitching, and effective water resistance that kept my gear dry in a downpour. Functionality is well thought out: the TSA-friendly laptop compartment fits my 15.6" laptop and tablet, while the many pockets, water bottle holders, and spacious main compartment (easily holding 4 days of clothes) make it ideal for carry-on travel. Comfort is strong too, with padded straps and back panel, plus a chest strap and luggage sleeve that are nice extras at this price. This travel backpack is great quality and has very thoughtful/intentional design. I wish I'd had this back pack when traveling overseas. There are tons of components which allow for organizing and quick retrieving. I really like the wet item compartment that can be used for wet towels or laundry (or sweaty socks). When I was first unpacking the bag, I kept hearing a crinkling noise I could not tell where it was coming from, but then I realized it's the lining of the insulated wet compartment.

Initially I was overwhelmed with the amount of compartments and straps on this bag. But the detailed photo instructions helped me make sense of it all and then I could see how useful each compartment was and just how well designed this bag is. It opens in two different ways. In one way it folds all the way open similar to a suitcase and another compartment opens like a traditional backpack. And when it opens like a suitcase, there's lots of little separate compartments to keep everything organized.

For a backpacking trip, a work trip, a weekend getaway, or a day hike, this is a lightweight, very well made, rugged, useful travel, backpack.

BONUS: Use as a carry-on!! The side mounted strap/slide for mounting onto your suitcase handle makes the bag extremely balanced. My husband has already stolen this bag from me and told me that it will now be his carry-on. So now I'm on the search for another travel bag or I'm going to buy a second one of these! It's pricey but you get what you pay for.

Yet another super practical backpack from the Tolaccaa brand. Very ergonomic and comfortable.

I'm a cameraman who needs several types of backpacks depending on my activities and the number of items I carry. I've already reviewed another model from the Tolaccea brand, and it's become my main bag. This second bag will definitely be my alternative for shorter trips, as I found my first one a bit too large for certain situations.

Here are my detailed impressions of this backpack:

Material Quality:

- The overall quality of the materials seems excellent. Nothing has been overlooked in terms of comfort or ergonomics.

- There are cushions in strategic locations that are useful for supporting the back and shoulders. These are thick and generous cushions for the back. The straps are also a good thickness, sufficient for a 32-liter bag.

- The fabric is a sturdy choice and not prone to punctures or tears. It's quite thick and padded. I would say it gives me a very good impression of long-term durability.

- I haven't had any problems with the zippers; they work well and don't consistently snag on the bag's fabric.

Practical features:

- The main compartments can be secured with small padlocks because the double zippers have interlocking holes. This allows you to lock them securely and prevent nimble thieves from snatching items from behind your back while you're out walking.

- The compartments are numerous, and some are even indistinguishable because of a flap covering them.

- There's an insulated compartment on the front of the bag that can be used to keep a meal fresh or damp clothes.

- I benefit from several dividers, including a mesh one in one of the sections, which allows me to better organize my production equipment, as I use the bag to carry drones, a laptop, a camera, etc.

- There's a sturdy pocket on each side of the bag. These aren't mesh pockets, but durable ones. I can fit a small Manfrotto tripod in one pocket and a water bottle in the other. I really like that. That said, don't expect to fit a medium or large tripod in the side pockets.

- The laptop compartment is well-made, and most importantly, the magnetic closure is reinforced at the top to prevent the contents of the bag from putting too much pressure on the laptop case. It's ingenious, even if it does take up a bit of space at the top when there's no laptop inside. It's a bold design, primarily made to maximize space and the security of your belongings, I'd say.

Comfort:

- I'm a good candidate to evaluate comfort since I suffer from fibromyalgia-type back pain and I also have arthritis, so when a bag doesn't offer a decent level of comfort, I usually notice it quickly. Here, I'm super comfortable, and the padded back area is truly excellent. It reminds me a bit of memory foam.

In conclusion:

I'm still amazed by the quality and practicality of this multi-purpose backpack. It's also very attractive in my opinion. I'm someone who likes to combine practicality and aesthetics, and this one succeeds admirably by my standards. I think I could easily keep a backpack like this for more than 8 years, so I think it deserves a fairly high price, over $100. Since the current selling price is $139.99 at the time of this review, I won't argue with the seller. I think it justifies its price with the quality of its product.

I recommend this bag as a practical, durable, and comfortable option. I haven't found any significant flaws in this bag, either in the stitching or the internal design. It's especially good for short trips of less than a day, but still requiring some equipment like drones, a laptop, a swimsuit, a small meal, sandals, etc.

I hope to see other products from this brand. It's top-of-the-line for a hiker, I'd say.
