Versatile backpack with plenty of room

This is a very versatile backpack. It fits all of my work equipment with plenty of room to spare, which makes it useful for both work and travel.

It also works well as a travel carry-on personal item. The expandable design gives you extra space when needed, and the 180 opening makes it easier to organize and access items.

The magnetic clasp on top could be a little stronger. It does not always feel like it keeps the top locked as tightly as I would like, especially when trying to keep the extra expandable space from unraveling.

Other than that, this is a great backpack with a lot of useful storage, travel, and work-friendly features.

This is my second backpack from Tolaccea, and it confirms what I already knew: they build gear that's made for adventure while keeping you seriously organized. "Travel Unburdened, Live Unrestrained" isn't just a tagline it shows in the design.

Pockets galore is the best way to describe this bag. Between the interior organization pockets, dedicated tech storage, and water bottle pockets on both sides, everything has a place. The zippered front panel alone has multiple compartments for smaller items you want quick access to, and the mesh interior pockets help keep cables and accessories from getting lost in the main compartment.

Access is where this bag really stands out you can get into the main compartment either through the zippered roll top or via a full zippered side entrance, which the brand calls a 180 opening. That flexibility makes packing and repacking so much easier, especially when you're digging for something at the bottom. The contrasting lighter interior color helps too! The water-resistant ripstop nylon and waterproof zippers give real peace of mind in unpredictable weather, and the fabric feels tough without being stiff.

Carrying it is just as versatile: wear it as a backpack with the padded, ventilated straps and mesh back panel (genuinely comfortable even loaded up), or grab the top handle and carry it like a duffel when you don't want to bother with straps. The luggage strap on the back also lets it slide right onto a rolling suitcase handle, which is a small detail that makes a big difference at the airport.

The Tolaccea 32L Roll Top Travel Backpack that is expandable to 40L and will carry up to a 15.6 inch laptop is perfect for a personal weekend trip or a week long work trip. Despite having two features that Ive always chosen to avoid in my picky backpack shopping ways, this is perhaps the best travel backpack Ive ever used. The first feature that Ive avoided is a roll top because I like the assumed additional security that a normal zipping backpack provides along with the extra pocket or two you usually get in that area. The second feature that Ive avoided is the tough weatherproof style zippers due to my fear of their failure and the additional stiffness that comes with unzipping them. On this backpack, I find being able to adjust your carrying capacity with the rolltop to be a nice feature. The ripstop type nylon material used for the outer surfaces of the bag are wonderful in their abrasion resistance and soft to the touch finish. It also provides a nice range of colors that sets your bag apart from others and elevates the look of the pack compared to regular outdoors brand backpacks. The FidLoc closure is a nice touch that you dont see on many backpacks. The variety of hand grip handles makes picking up your fully loaded pack, easy and the durable luggage strap is a huge plus. Though Im trying to travel with less I find that I can put everything I need inside this backpack and because of its additional storage capacity, my things fit a bit more comfortably. Being able to open the bag 180 makes packing it easier and allows you to see exactly where youre putting everything. The additional tech pockets help you to stay organized and to keep your things from being damaged. I can carry both my laptop and my tablet with plenty of room and plenty of padding. The additional zippered pockets on the outside of the bag and internally helped to keep things squared away yet easy to get to when needed. The weatherproof zippers do take a little bit more to opening close and I can only hope theyll be durable in the long run. For the quality and tech involved in the design of this backpack its a great value for the money and I highly recommend it.

Solid travel backpack

I gotta say this backpack is neat. The laptop storage section has 2 padded sections and opens up fully, so I can easily put my laptop, tablet, kindle into it with ease. There are also a few pockets on the interior there that are great for cables and flash drives. Moving into the main compartment, there is a lot to see. The rolltop is just an extension of the main compartment, so depending on how you're traveling you can adjust how much space you need from there. The main compartment has a little hidden tracker pocket that's out of the way on towards the outside, so if you need to leave the bag somewhere, you have a way to keep track of it. The outer pockets have a more water-resistant layer than the rest, so while I wouldn't be leaving the backpack in the rain, it should be fine with some splashes from puddles or drizzle. The one thing I'm not too big on is the carry strap - while yes, there is one on the side that is meant to be used for that, I would also like the one on top to be more than a cloth-covered wire. The dual water bottle holders are also great, they stretch at the top to allow for various water bottles and have some extra cords that help keep the bottle in. It fits everything I would bring on airplane trips with ease, and more.

My new portable office-easily holds everything I need to work

Working in IT support for decades means having to always be ready to respond at a moment's notice-which also means carrying your office essentials with you. Usually I have relied on nylon or canvas briefcase stye cases, but I have so much gear to carry that those end up looking like a goat about to give birth (if you've seen one in person you know what I mean). Stuffed full of gear and awkward to carry and a challenge to dig through to find what you need.

This interested me as an alternative to my old briefcase. I wondered if it would hold all that I usually carry.

A laptop, a tablet, a phone, a second screen for the laptop, a docking station, a speakerphone, multiple chargers, a headset, notepad, pens, an extension cord and power strip with surge protection, a power block for charging and other assorted small items and cables.

This has generous sections which easily handled my laptop, tablet, phone an extra screen all in dense but thin padded slots. I liked the sections so I could logically separate the items, making finding them when needed easier. The laptop section has a quick velcro closure to keep the laptop from sliding around. The pocket up front was perfect for the phone and headset and battery pack. The other flat sections handled the cables and speakerphone (kind of a hockey puck style).

Amazingly everything fit, and it didn't look like a birth was imminent. I was concerned about the weight-after all, this is a lot of gear. I can say that after carrying a briefcase full of tech gear using the shoulder strap I used to have chafing marks on my shoulders. With this backpack the weight is more evenly distributed and the shoulder strap is wider and padded for more comfort. The back of the pack also has padded bolsters to rest on your back for even more comfort and some airflow.

The backpack is made well, with no sloppy assembly or missed stitches. The material is smooth and tough but lightweight. The roll down top offers more weather protection if needed. It's also a convenient space to stuff a windbreaker in for quick access. There's quite a bit of information on the cards attached to the backpack explaining the features in detail. The pack itself only weighs 2.3 pounds. The size is large enough that you could use it as an overnight bag and still fit a laptop and tablet inside the padded compartments.

This is now my portable office-I enjoy the capacity and the more comfortable form factor. And it also has a handle on one side if I want to carry it like my old briefcase.
